About the practitioner

Harmony and Balance are ultimately the two things bringing a person good health and comfort.  Anatoliy Pak has dedicated much of his life cultivating an intuitive ability to help discover what people need to find their individual harmony and balance. With a Master’s of Science Degree in Traditional Oriental Medicine from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine and certification from the National Certification Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, Mr. Pak is qualified to use both massage therapy and acupuncture to help his patients achieve a more balanced and healthy life.

Anatoliy discovered the relief massage can bring to people at an early age. Raised in Uzbekistan, where his mother, a seamstress, worked very long fatiguing hours to help support the family. As a young child of twelve, he could not sit and watch his mother work while she was in such physical pain. Her discomfort prompted him to help bring her relief by massaging her shoulders and back. At the time, he didn’t realize what an important part of his life massage would become.

As Anatoliy came of age, he left home to pursue a career in acting. He received a bachelor’s degree in theater and art direction where he improved his natural aptitude of observation, attention to voice and aesthetic harmony. His passion for the arts, interest in other cultures and capacity for language led him on a journey to many parts of the world including time spent living in Kazakhstan, Korea, Russia where he rekindled his interest in the healing arts.
After more than two decades, Anatoliy had the opportunity to move to the United States to complete his academic studies of Oriental Medicine. He moved to Chicago with his wife Alla and their 16 year old daughter Polina. Now as a full time Oriental Medicine practitioner, Anatoliy is running his own practice, Healing Arts of Oriental Medicine in Deerfield, Illinois. If you were to ask Anatoliy about his long and diverse journey towards Oriental Medicine, he would modestly say, “It has taken me more than 20 years to realize I can offer people something that makes them feel better, both emotionally and physically.”
