WHAT IS ORIENTAL MEDICINE?

Traditional Oriental Medicine, better known as Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is a system of healing arts that deals with human physiology, pathology, diagnosis and treatment, as well as prevention of diseases. TCM encompasses a specific, integrated system of theory and practice, which comes from a history of more than 3,000 years of clinical experience.

Based on an insightful philosophy and a rich empirical tradition, it has produced a highly sophisticated set of practices designed to cure illness and to maintain health and well-being. These practices include acupuncture, herbal medicine, remedial massage (Tui-Na), diet, moving and static exercises (Taiji and Qigong). Read more
